As Cameroon moves back to a one party state, Prime Minister commissioned Permanent Regional CPDM Delegate
The so called modernization of the organs of the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM party has effectively kicked off throughout the national territory. In North West region, the Bemenda Congress Hall was the venue for the high level party meeting that witnessed the installation of Prime Minister Philemon Yang as Permanent Regional Delegate of the CPDM in North West Region.
The Prime Minister and Head of Government in his capacity as CPDM Regional Permanent Representative was commissioned alongside seven other permanent Divisional delegates who will assist in mobilizing CPDM supporters in the region. The Permanent Delegates were installed by Central Committee Secretary General Jean NKuete. On the occasion, he called for solidarity among militants and said Bamenda as the baptismal city of the party “is a source of pride for all CPDM supporters”.
The permanent representatives are expected to ensure the proper functioning of the party that has been in power for over 34 years. Yang Philemon and his newly commissioned delegates are also expected to improve the performance of the CPDM during different political consultations.
