Alleged drug trafficker arrested in Bamenda
A suspected trafficker has been arrested by members of the Bamenda Judicial Police, transporting a 75 kg cargo of Indian hemp. The drug dealer was coming from Kumbo in Bui Division and the load was hidden in a wheelbarrow.
He told the police that the drugs had to be sold in a market in Douala (Littoral), the economic metropolis.
The alleged trafficker was arrested at a crossroads between the West and Northwest.
Douala is a hub of drug trafficking with a kilogram of Indian hemp selling sometimes at 8 million FCFA. The economic metropolis of Douala is supplied with Indian hemp by the regions of the Northwest and the West.
