The first day of the New Year is commonly a day of best wishes. Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba did not deviate from the 1^st of January tradition of dishing out New Year messages.

From Côte d’Ivoire, the African football legends reportedly sent out seasonal greetings to both the Cameroonian and Ivorian people.

Didier Drogba sent greetings to Cameroonians while Samuel Eto’o did same to the people of Ivory Coast.
