Eto’o honored in Dubai
Cameroonian football legend, Samuel Eto’o was honored on Tuesday for his brilliant international career during a ceremony organized by Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. Eto’o used the opportunity and called on FIFA to increase the number of participating countries to 48 in the world cup final.
Speaking after his award, Eto’o addressed the President of FIFA, “Mr. Gianni Infantino, this trophy is for the creation of a World Cup that will involve 48 countries. Do it for the poor, for those who do not have all the time the chance to compete in a World Cup. Do it! We support you, I support you personally. Because you will give many Africans the opportunity to play in a World Cup.’ Eto’o thanked all his teammates and coaches who allowed this dream to come true.
