FECAFOOT in crisis as 7 players reject calls from Hugo Broos
Seven Cameroonian football players shortlisted by the national team head coach, Hugo Broos have refused to answer the call of the Belgian technician. Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered that this current boycott is undoubtedly the biggest setback in the career of Hugo Broos whose choice at the head of the indomitable lions has never been to the taste of the Cameroonian public.
Hugo Broos’s appointment as head of the Indomitable Lions has always been perceived as a sham that was masterminded by Prof. Joseph Owona and the President of the Cameroon Football Federation aka FECAFOOT, Tombi Sidiki whose legitimacy is questionable.
The Belgian technician published a list of 35 players for the preparation of the African Cup of Nations 2017 hosted in Gabon and seven players immediately responded by informing him that they will not be a part of his plan.
The players who declined the offer from the coach included
1- André Onana (Ajax of Amsterdam).
2- Guy Roland Ndy Assembe (Nancy)
3- Joel Matip (Liverpool) who said he did not want to play with the Indomitable Lions because of a bad experience with the previous technical staff.
4- Allan Nyom (West Bromwich) has chosen to remain in the club to keep his place.
5- Maxime Poundje (Bordeaux), chose to play for France.
6- André Zambo Anguissa (Olympique Marseille), favors his club.
7- Ibrahim Amadou (Lille OSC), privileges his club.
