Road accident claim lives of six people during weekend
6 people were killed over the weekend and 26 others wounded when a transport vehicle crashed in Djende II, Doumé district in the Haut-Nyong division of the East region.
Cameroon Intelligence Report learnt that the bus with 30 passengers on board was using the highway linking Ngaoundere (Adamaoua) to Yaoundé when it violently hit a truck carrying construction equipment and miscellaneous goods.
Police sources say the driver suffered from fatigue. The remains of the six passengers and the 26 injured were all moved to the Abong-Mbang General hospital. Among the survivors were 2 children ages 9 and 3 whose mothers died in the accident. They have been placed in an orphanage in the locality.
