Cameroon says it has constructed 1700 low cost houses
The CPDM government has announced that Cameroon already has 1700 of the 10.000 low cost houses it projected to construct by 2020. This figure was made public during a press briefing in Yaounde by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Jean Claude Mbwentchou.
During the 30th of September 2016 press conference, Minister Jean Claude Mbwentchou indicated that as the nation prepares to take part in the Habitat III Summit in Equito in the Republic of Equador from the 17th to the 20th of October 2016, the Biya government’s ambition is to ensure decent lodgings for its citizens.
The press briefing was organized ahead of the 31st edition of World Habitat Day to be commemorated on 3rd October 2016. The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary was also at the briefing.
