A special envelope given to the so called CPDM militants in the USA by First Lady Chantal Biya has left the US Section of the ruling party in shambles. Growing frustration accentuated by greed and petty rivalry rocked the militants following money handed to the leadership last week at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan. The Chantal Biya gesture provoked a backlash with supporters of both President Biya and First Lady Chantal Biya accusing each other of blackmail and sabotage over the sharing the envelope.

Cameroon Intelligence Report learned that the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Manhattan was the scene of a pretty incredible action on Wednesday last week when a group of people dressed in the colours of the ruling CPDM party were chirping loudly until very late at night. Cat calls greeted the leadership of the Section with militants shouting that “All the money in the envelope presented by Chantal Biya has not been fully declared and put on the table.” The humiliation was complete and total and produced a spectacle followed with curiosity by the some customers of one of the largest hotels in New York among them, the presidential couple perched on the 40th floor of the palace.
