Saudi parliamentary delegation in Yaounde
A delegation of Saudi Arabian Members of Parliament has arrived Yaounde on a three-day official visit to Cameroon. The group headed by former Saudi Arabian Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Waleed A. Elkhereiji are in Cameroon from 21st to 23rd September 2016, to strengthen ties between Yaounde and Riyadh; ties which date back to the 1960’s. The visit will also provide grounds for both countries to seek solutions to economic and security challenges the world is facing.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Cavaye Yeguie Djibril received the nine-man delegation at his cabinet on Wednesday, 21st September 2016 where they discussed ways of enhancing parliamentary relations between Cameroon and Saudi Arabia.
The delegation later left for the National Assembly where they had a working session with members of the Cameroon – Saudi Arabian parliamentary friendship group. H.E. Waleed A. Elkhereiji and his team will meet and discuss with top Government officials including Prime Minister Philemon Yang, before the end of their visit.
