Vice Chancellors and Rectors of State Universities are taking part in the third session of the University Coordination Commission, at the Higher Teacher’s Training College in Yaounde. The Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Academic Orders, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo opened the forum on Wednesday the 14th September 2016.

Deliberations during the meeting are centered on social insurance dues, the professionalization and harmonization of syllabuses, the updating of the organisational charts of state universities, the distribution of computers to students and the examination of the decree modifying the 2005 law which fixed financial rules applicable to state universities.

Participants will come out with a road map for the 2016/2017 academic year to ensure a smooth functioning of universities in the country. The University Coordination Commission is a platform for exchanges between state universities and a high level decision-making body.
