Maroua: A mouse found on board a Camair-Co flight
A mouse was found on board a Camair-Co aircraft at the Maroua-Salak airport on Thursday September 1, 2016. Camair-Co officials decided to cancel the flight that was bound for Douala. The station manager reportedly announced the cancellation observing that the plane experienced serious problems due to a foreign body that was accidentally discovered inside the flight.
Camair-Co issued a statement saying the mouse came out from a passenger’s bag. The Camair-Co statement added that the flight was cancelled because the Maroua airport could not accommodate night flights.
Mindful of the financial situation of the company, passengers were housed for the night and were taken overland to Garoua, where the Boeing 737 transported them to their final destination. This incident in addition to that which occurred at the Nsimalen International airport last Friday shows that even with a new administration, Camair-Co is moving towards its end.
