The Second class stool of Weh village is now vacant. The ruler of the Tikars, Munchi’s and Nbuti people of the Weh dynasty disappeared on August the 13th, 2016 at the Mbingo Hospital. The entire Weh family converged at the palace esplanade on Monday August 15^th 2016 to pay their last respect to the late Fon Bama II.  Traditional sacred societies and dances common of the Weh people manifested and performed traditional rights obliged with royalty.

The Nkoh, Mambu,Nkwifor,Kefap,Kembekoh and several other dance groups animated the ceremony signalling the end of an era in the Weh Fondom.  The late Fon Bama II ascended the throne in 2001 following the passing to eternity of Fon Nji III.  Weh elites braved the bad roads to pay homage to the Fon.

Among the mourners who came from all the nooks and crannies of the republic were members of the Weh Cultural and Development Association led by its president Ngha Peter and high profile Weh citizens including Akwa Patrick, Secretary General at the Ministry of Forest, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development.

Some of the royals were heard murmuring privately that the next task will be to name the successor of Fon Nazarius Kpwe Bama who was born in 1933. Still in Menchum Division, Chief Emmanuel Formoukun of the Ouwert Chiefdom,Weh village, was also laid to rest on August 13th 2016 in Weh. The retired ELECAM boss and administrator pulled a mammoth crowd of mourners to Weh village.
