CAF delegation to begin inspection of Cameroon’s sports infrastructures
A high powered CAF delegation will begin inspection of sports infrastructures and hotel facilities to host the African Women Championship in Cameroon tomorrow Monday July 24th. Cham Victor Bama of Cameroon Concord News Group presents the itinerary of the Confederation of African football delegation.
Day One 25-7-16 5-7 pm.Working session with the local organizing committee of the AWC at the Sports complex in Yaoundé
DAY TWO 26-7-16 9:45-10:15-Courtesy visit at MINSEP 10:20-10:30-Stop over at the Centre Regional Governor’s office 10:35-1:35- Inspection of the Yaoundé Omnisport stadium and annexes (training grounds) 5:05-6:00- inspection of military stadium
DAY THREE 27-7-16 9:35-11:20- Inspection of hotel facilities: La Falaise (host team), Djeuga Palace (host team) and Mont Febe (host team). 12:15-1:30- Hilton Hotel reserved for CAF officials: 3:10-4:10- Courtesy visit to the Prime Minister 4:25-6:50- Technical meeting at the Sports Complex in Yaoundé. The discussions will be on local and international transport, TV production, Marketing and Communication. The CAF Excellence Centre has been proposed to host referees.
DAY FOUR 28-7-16 1:40-2:00- Courtesy visit to the Governor of the South West region 2:05-6:25-Visit of Molyko stadium (training ground), centenary stadium (training ground), middle farms stadium(training ground) and the Limbe omnisport stadium.
DAY FIVE 29-7-16 9:30-12:25 Inspection of mountain hotel (host of CAF OFFICIALS and Referees), parliamentarian flat ( host of team), Chariot hotel ( host of team) 2:30-3:15- Visit of FINI Hotel ( host of team) 3:20-4:50-Restitution meeting 5:15-5:45-Press Conference at Limbe Omnisport Stadium
DAY SIX 30-7-16 Free day for the CAF officials 31st July, first delegation led by Mr Leodegar Tenga leaves the country while the second delegation will leave on August 1, 2016 to Cairo-Egypt.
The members of the CAF delegation inludes: Mr Leodegar Tenga(President of the Organizing Committee) Mrs Heba Abdella (Director of Tournament) Mrs Inas Ahmed (Service department) Ahmed Makhlouf (Marketing Department) Kofi Addae (Media department) Mr Mohammed Bakeer (IT Department).

The inspection team, who visited Yaounde, Buea and Limbe, thanked the organising committee for the reception they received in Cameroon which Tenga said “facilitated our work.” Acknowledging that the competition is not easy to organise, Tenga also extended the appreciation of Caf President Issa Hayatou to the Cameroon government for accepting to host the competition.
