President Biya has finally promulgated the new law reforming the Criminal Code. The Biya decree putting into law the new Penal Code was signed on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

The new Penal Code was considered and adopted in a controversial contest between the 22^nd of June and the 1^st of July 2016 in both the National Assembly and the so called Upper House of Senate.

Despite the numerous voices that called for a national consensus to be reach before the law is enacted, the Cameroonian dictator has once again demonstrated that Cameroon is indeed a one man show.
