A twenty years old boy has been arrested in Edea and charged with the murdering of a 17 months baby. The special unit of the Gendarmerie brigade in Edea that led the investigation told Cameroon Intelligence Report that the baby was the child of his girlfriend.

In a rare press briefing at the Gendarmerie post located at the first district in Edea earlier today, the legion commander revealed that the young man lived in the Ferme Suisse neighborhood.  The body of the child was dumped in a bush on the Douala-Edea highway.

Investigators however did not reveal the identity of the alleged murderer but hinted that he wanted to punish his concubine. Edea is some 22 km from Douala the economic capital of Cameroon.
