The Camair-Co has responded to the suspension of flights to the European Union (EU).  In a letter addressed to Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o, Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, the general manager Jean Paul Nana Sandjong, observed that the European and the Cameroonian aviation authorities have acted inappropriately.

In his reaction, the Camair-Co boss noted that the decision as communicated to him by Paule Koki Assoumou of the Cameroon aviation was “inappropriate and unjustified.” He further added that the action could be best described as “abuse of authority”. Paul Nana Sandjong and Camair-Co, both of whom are taking the last kicks of a dying horse said his company has violated no laws, rules and other texts which govern the exercise of civil aviation in Cameroon including the EU.

It is vital to include in this report that the Cameroon Aeronautics Authority suspended Camair-Co flights to all EU airports on the advice of Third Country Operator (TCO) of the European Agency for Safety of aviation (EASA). Cameroon Intelligence Report is aware that Camair-Co’s  air transport certificate (CTA) is incomplete.
