Camair-Co like CDC will soon be a thing of the past!! Like the defunct Cameroon Airlines, its failure has been linked to the management style teleguided by a consortium of CPDM crime syndicates.  Local media sources have revealed that the general manager of Camair Co addressed a letter on Monday, June 13, 2016 to the Minister of Finance in which he presented a pathetic and alarming situation of the airlines company. The situation inter alia included a debt of more than five billion CFA francs.

Cameroon Intelligence Report has learned that one of Camair Co’s planes code named the ” Dja” a Boeing 767 that was taken to Ethiopia for maintenance and whose first flight had been scheduled for this Sunday was grounded for unpaid bills leaving a frustrated Nana Sandjon Jean Paul, the CEO of the national airline to request assistance from the Minister of Finance, Alamine Ousmane Mey.

In the letter sent to the Finance Minister, the GM observed that maintenance work on the Boeing 767 in Ethiopia had long been completed but something should be done and done in a hurry to clear outstanding bills with Ethiopian Airlines estimated at 1 billion FCFA.  Nana Sandjon added in his correspondence to Minister Ousmane Mey that Camair Co has to pay 900 million FCFA to Honeywell, 475 million FCFA to Willis Lease and AJW totaling 2.375 billion FCFA.  Cameroon Concord News Group chief economic reporter hinted that Honeywell (air navigation data) and Willis Lease / AJW-Aviation (rental of two engines) are not willing to accept partial payments. The Dja has therefore not return to Cameroon.

Nana Sandjo Jean Paul also recently received an official correspondence from A.C.G, the owner of  the two Boeing 737 and 700 on the non-payment of due invoice amounting to 1, 480 billion FCFA. The two planes may be withdrawn from Camair Co’s fleet. Apart from Ethiopian Airlines and A.C.G, other providers are also making huge financial demands. Camair-Co workers will soon go for two months without salary.

Camair Co in addition has to pay a DEPOSIT for IATA membership in Clearing House of 250 million FCFA, Tradex provision (500 million CFA), Aurona Aviation for the Jet-A1 to CDG (200 million FCFA), AJW-Aviation for the equipment carrier (400 million FCFA) Alyzia for Ground Handling at CDG (350 million FCFA), staff salaries for the month of May 2016 (500 million CFA) and other various claims. Camair-Co needs a total of  5 billion 445 million FCFA to begin business again. Goodbye Camair-Co
