Southern Cameroons Crisis: Manyu Odeshi Commander says resistance only way to get to Buea
The leader of the Manyu Odeshi Warriors has said that the tactical withdrawal policy imposed on the fighters in Ground Zero should be revisited by the chairman of the Manyu Defense Council. In an audio message reportedly aired from the Ekok border post in the ejagham language, the commander of the Ambazonia Self Defense group noted that action was needed deep in the heart of Mamfe.
He furthered that resistance forces in the Manyu County will continue their fight against French Cameroun government agents until full restoration was gotten by the people of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia. Addressing the conflicting state of affairs that has rocked the Southern Cameroons diaspora, the Manyu commander stated that “Do not let the French Cameroun enemy divide and conquer us, Ambazonians are one people, with one cause, one aim, and that is to get to Buea and take back our land from Francophone evil forces who threaten our existence. All differences can be worked out when we have our land, our country of Ambazonia.”
Our chief correspondent in Mamfe is yet to establish the authenticity of the audio message. But what we do know is that the high command of the Manyu Self Defense group had ordered restoration forces to withdraw into the bushes in Eyumojock and Akwaya sub constituencies including the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Manyu County, which has always been oppressed and became the cornerstone and front to be reckoned with in the equations of the Southern Cameroons war has been silent for a while following a decision by its defense council that instructed the fighters to withdraw until better military equipment were delivered.
