Manchester United held to draw at Alkmaar: Solskjaer If it’s true, go
Manchester United have been held to a goalless draw away to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, in their second Group L match in the Europa League.
Man United, who were without injured Paul Pogba, never looked like scoring for most of the evening.
In fact, they failed to even produce one effort on target, as their run without an away win in all competitions stretched to 10 matches.
However, at the other end, Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal and Oussama Idrissi forced United keeper David de Gea into a couple of important saves.
The draw left the Red Devils level on 4 points with Partizan Belgrade, who won 2-1 away to Astana. Alkmaar are third in the Group with 2 points, while Astana have None.
