Champions League: Tottenham to host Bayern Munich
Tottenham Hotspur will be hosting Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich in London, in round 2 of the 2019 UEFA Champions League.
Last season’s champions league runners-up, Tottenham, had some Lackluster performances lately; as they’ve only won 3 out of 7 Premier League matches, and were also recently eliminated from the League Cup, after suffering an embarrassing 1-0 defeat against 4th tier club colchester. So, the Londoners must put-on a good show in London, as they need some valuable points in the UCL, as they were held to a 2-all draw by Greek side olympiacos in their opener.
On the other side, the 7-time Bundesliga Champions remain unbeaten in their 6 league games this season, and are in high spirits ahead of the Tuesday-night encounter, having also won their Group B opener, 3-0 against Serbian side, Red Star Belgrade.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have been preparing to host Club Brugge of Belgium at the Santiago Bernabeu, in the 2nd Round of the UCL Group A matches.
Los Blancos have won 3 successive European Cups from 2015 to 2018, during Zinedine Zidane’s 1st spell as Real manager, But they had a poor start to the new UCL Season, as they suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat against Paris Saint Germain in Paris. However, the Spanish giants are in good form now, as they are still at the top of the La Liga, despite being held to a goalless draw by their city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday. On the other side, Club Brugge kept a clean sheet against Galatasaray in their Group A opener, and are at the top of the table in their domestic league.
