Cameroon, Tunisia to strengthen cooperation on infrastructural development
Cameroon and Tunisia on Monday agreed to strengthen communication and share experiences and opportunities to boost infrastructural development in both countries.
“Regarding housing in general … we have so much competence,” Nourreddine Selmi, Tunisian minister of equipment, housing and town planning, told reporters after meeting with Cameroon’s Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute here.
Tunisia’s experience in infrastructural development was important to Cameroon, which is seeking to be an emerging nation by 2035, said Celestine Ketcha Courtes, Cameroon’s minister of housing and urban development.
“We want to build a strong partnership … to support low-cost housing, roads and other infrastructure in particular,” she said, stressing that a memorandum of understanding between the two countries has been signed to “share experiences to work on practical things.”
