After meeting some Ambazonia leaders in a pre talk, Swiss Ambassador, representing Switzerland together with the Africa Director for HD have met with Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Dion Ngute.

The Cameroon government has by this formally given their mandate.

HD representative say the negotiations have not started. Alexandre told reporters that they are now in a phase of meeting the two parties and that the modalities for negotiation will be determined only by the parties concerned.

The US, UN, EU, Canada have supported the Swiss process. However not all the Ambazonia leaders have welcome the mediation. Some say they are still to get answers to many unanswered questions.

When invited for pre talks to get the answers, some turned down the invitation saying that the process is not clear.

Swiss Ambassador Pietro Lazzeri told state media after an audience at the Unity Palace that Switzerland is just a mediator and not the body to decide. Only the two parties will have to decided with their negotiators.
