French Cameroun Court Postpones absent Ambazonia Leader Trial
The case against President Sisisku Ayuk Tabe and his top aides has been adjourned to May 17. The Ambazonian leader and members of his cabinet failed to appear in court as stated in a press release that was made public by lawyers over the weekend.
Cameroon Concord News understands that the defense team had hinted the Yaounde Military Tribunal of their decision not to be part of any trial after the case was taken on appeal to a pro CPDM Appeal Court in Yaounde.
The lawyers had opined that they were not satisfied with the decision of the Military tribunal that opened up legal proceedings against the Southern Cameroons leaders in Yaounde despite holding refugee and asylum-seeking status in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They want the Appeal Court to look into the matter and order the Military tribunal to send the Ambazonian leaders back to Nigeria where they were abducted by agents of the corrupt Nigerian Secret Service.
