New coach Fernando Hierro oversaw Spain’s final training session at the Krasnodar Stadium on Wednesday, before their crucial Group B match against Portugal.

Big name players like Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique and Lucas Vasquez seemed in good spirits at a light-hearted session.

The now former head coach Julen Lopetegui was sacked by after agreeing to take the helm at Real Madrid following the World Cup. It has been widely reported that Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Luis Rubiales was given only five minutes warning.

The decision came just two day before their opening World Cup game against Portugal. Spain are drawn in Group B alongside Morocco, Iran and Portugal.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
