Ambazonia: Interim Government in human rights plea to Commonwealth secretary general
The interim government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia has issued a statement calling on the visiting Secretary General of the Commonwealth to grant audiences to Hon. Joseph Wirba, Retired Lord Justice Ayah Paul Abine and the veteran Mola Njoh Litumbe.
Mrs. Patricia Scotland is expected in Buea this Friday, December 22, 2017 for the last segment of her visit to Cameroon.
In a press release issued on December 21, 2017, the interim government of Ambazonia noted that it has learned the Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland has been able to “convince” the Cameroonian Government that she owes the people of Southern Cameroons respect and must make a visit to Buea, in the South West.
For the spokesman of the interim government of Ambazonia, Chris Anu, “The position of the interim government is as follows: if the Secretary General of the Commonwealth does not grant a hearing to Ayah Paul, Hon. Joseph Wirba and Mola Njoh Litumbe, her visit to Buea will have no meaning and will be of no consequence. Leaving Buea without consulting leaders who represent the aspirations of the people of Southern Cameroons will not change the opinion already made about the Secretary General by Ambazonians, “said the statement.
