About two million Nigerians living in southern Cameroon are at risk given the current political crisis in the part of the country if nothing is done by the federal government.

To this end, Southern Cameroon National Council is calling on President Muhammadu Buhari and the international community to prevail on the republic of Cameroon president, Paul Biya to call his armed forces to order and allow innocent citizens live peacefully.

Speaking during the distribution of relief materials given by the Southern Cameroonian Nationals in Diaspora to the asylum seekers at Obudu Ranch Resort, president of southern Cameroon national council who also moonlights as a chartered member of the Interim Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia, Nfor Ngala Mfor said Nigeria as a big Africa country that shares boundary with Cameroon should intervene in the impasse.

On her part, a constitutional lawyer and rights activist, Nalo Wabiye described the level of killings in Southern Cameroon, especially in Mamfe, Jakiri, Bamenda among others where women and children are majorly affected as unacceptable.

AIT’s Rasheed Olanrewaju reports that the fall out of the crisis has made Ajasor, Ikom ,Agbokim, Danare, Amana and ranch communities in cross river state an abode for thousand of Cameroonian asylum seekers,  a development that is causing disquiet among the citizens of the communities.
