Aisha Buhari, the wife of the Nigerian President, left Abuja yesterday Tuesday for the UK to see her husband who’s health is reportedly deteriorating.

The announcement of Aisha’s trip was revealed to the press by Ms. Adebisi Olumide Ajayi, the communications officer of the President’s wife.

The announcement stated that Aisha will spend some time with her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently on medical leave.” Before embarking on her trip, Aisha thanked her Nigerian compatriots who continue to pray for the President.

Aisha’s trip comes 24 days after the departure of President Buhari to the United Kingdom for consultations and medical care.
