4 Cameroonian soldiers killed in the Far North
Four Cameroonian soldiers have been killed following massive explosions of mines reportedly planted by Boko Haram militants in their patrol vehicles. Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered from our military informant in Maroua that the first soldier died on Wednesday when a mine exploded and rocked the military vehicle he was driving. The incident occurred at Kumshe, a Nigerian town near the border with Cameroon.
24 hours later, on Thursday, three other Cameroonian soldiers were killed in another explosion of a mine in Gouzda-Vreket, in the Mayo-Tsanaga Division, in the Far North region -North. The Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram, who has pledged allegiance to the Organization of the Islamic State, is now planting bombs and mines and using suicide bombers to sow death.
