100 million FCFA stolen from Yaounde Government Delegate’s house
Two employees of the Government Delegate to the Yaoundé Urban Council, Gilbert Tsimi Evouna have made away with the sum of 100 million FCFA that was sealed in a bag inside the delegate’s residence, Cameroon Intelligence Report has learnt from media sources in the nation’s capital.
Ekani and Ebodé, were both driver of the wife of Gilbert Tsimi Evouna and water distributor in the Yaounde Urban Community who allegedly stole the bag containing the sum of 100 million CFA francs. The two thieves after collecting the money deserted their jobs and relocated themselves in the village somewhere in the Lékié Division in the Central Region where they were partying to the surprise of everyone.
During one of the village feasts, they revealed that they only took one out of the many bags that were in the Government Delegate’s basement. For obvious reasons, Gilbert Tsimi Evouna has allowed the two men to go scot-free. However, some few years ago, the same Tsimi Evouna had filed a complaint against some of his employees for stealing a large sum of money from him. After an investigation, it was established that it was his own son who stole the money.
